Thanks. I guess I need to understand S3FS more

I read that, BUT I don't see how to use S@FS with proxmox. I don't see anything here about how to mount that volume in Linux so that it shows as a storage device in Proxmox That article looks like how to use Wasabi in the place of S3 in servers where an Amazon S3 API has alredy been installed.

Has anyone found a way to use Wasabi as a potential hot backup location? Prices are great, $5/TB/month. The issue is I cannot figure out how to get it to mount as a linux drive so that Proxmox can just back up to it. Anyone have any ideas or skills on how to do this?

Everything I read looked like local file storage solutions. I didn't see anything that jumped out at me as network storage like backing up to Amazon or to another generic server somewhere.

My Node doesn't have attached backup. I was looking for input on how I connect it to another server that is at a different IP to use it as a backup.

Hmm I thought the whole point of proxmox and VMs was that the VM was fully inclusive of all resources it needs? When I asked about moving VMs there was never a comment about any of this. Simply backup the VM, move it to the new node, then restore the vm. Not sure how I fix this.

Has anyone used an amazon cloud backup with Proxmox? Something running within PX vs manually shutting down a VM copying it to AWS S3. Can You pipe to an external backup?
