    kvm kernel module no such file or directory 4.0

    I just did a fresh install of proxmox 4.0 using the non-subscription repos and when i try to start a vm, I get the following error. I've checked to make sure the kvm module is loaded, which I believe means VTX is enabled in the bios. Am I missing something?

    delayed write failed vm->vm

    Any way to test it? This isn't the only VM on the NAS but it's only one to throw this error that I know of.

    delayed write failed vm->vm

    I have a file server (win 2k12 r2) and a rds server (win2k8r2) and we've been having an issue with a dbase app when it tries to write to a specific database. In the event viewer it's throwing a 140 error: {Delayed Write Failed} unable to save the data on \\win2k12r2\path\to\db.dbf I can't...

    Disk Cache Settings Recommendations

    Good afternoon everyone. I'm wanting to get others opinions on what the best cache mode is for our particular setup. Our setup is a cluster of 6 hosts with a single SSD for the proxmox install and then the VM's have a Synology RS3614xs+ for storage over NFS with a pair of SSDs for cache. Our...

    Did you do anything special to get it to run? What kind of USB Drive did you use?

    Is running proxmox from a usb drive possible?

    Is running proxmox from a usb drive possible? I have a couple of servers that have internal USB ports that I'd like to use rather than waste a SSD on it.

    manage raid card

    greetings all, I have an adaptec 6504E raid controller that I suspect has a bad drive. How would I go about installing aacraid to check the status of the drives and raid array? Is there a built-in utility or do I need to try and install something like storman?

    Network Adapter PerformanceKb

    Also, as a comparison. I tested this from a 2012 R2 server (virtio) to the RDS (virtio) and I saw ~428 Mbits/sec. Both are using the latest (1.81) virtio drivers from 4/29/2014.

    Is there a way to confirm that?

    Network Adapter PerformanceKb

    I have two 2008 R2 boxes, one of which is an RDS server and the other just a console essentially. I'm getting some weird performance issues on the RDS server with high interrupts which through some research seems to be coming from the virtio driver. As a test using iperf, I switched out the...

    VMs on Synology?

    Does the Dell solution do just iSCSI or does it do NFS as well?

    ceph server configuration question

    I'm looking at either purchasing a new nas unit to replace a freenas install we currently have or switching to ceph for storage. I currently have 4 proxmox 3.2 servers each with a single SSD for the OS (i know it doesn't help performance to be on an ssd). Each node has dual xeon l5520's with...

    troubleshooting performance issues

    I have a RDS server that roughly 20 people use at any time, and for the past couple of weeks we have had some performance issues. Though I can't tell if it's the VM host or if it's the NAS server. We're running a NFS server off FreeNAS. No backups or anything else is running that I can tell...

    Recipient address rejected

    I'm trialing PMG and I have two domains setup. I'm watching the realtime logs and I keep seeing a lot of Recipient address rejected: Service is unavailable (try later) messages. Does anyone know what this could be about?

    Multiple clients with mail gateway

    Maybe I'm missing it in the configuration but I'm not seeing a way to forward mail onto other mail servers? Ideally, I'd like to host the mail gateway at our datacenter and then forward the mails (after being processed) over to the correct mail server for that particular domain. Is there a way...

    networking question

    We have two switches, one for data and one currently not used which I'd like to use for this traffic. I suppose we don't *have* to vlan the traffi but I'd like to in case we need to use that switch for other purposes.
