Yes, thanks, things are becoming clearer. Sorry for all the questions but I don't have a test system to check this out so I had to ask these questions.
Thanks Fabian, still struggling with different people using different terms. Please have some more patience and help me understand this.
When you say: "creating a new dataset" you are referring to the wiki saying: "Create a new filesystem" right?
When you say: "you can use ZFS directly for...
The time to move is getting closer so what I have found atm is a decently priced server, good specs for what I need with ECC RAM.
I've read up on how to install to ZFS, found the tips on SWAP + ZFS but am a bit confused about what the wiki says about booting from ZFS...
hey, I've been testing scrollout F1 for about 2 weeks now and I like it. also using it inside a KVM (installed with their own ISO) - LXC doesn't work here.
Only seeing two drawbacks to using it:
- no way for users/domains to separately manage their SPAM/HAM it all works via one singel mailbox...
quick question, how does quarantine and learning from bad messages work?
Does every user get his own login and can mark his emails as SPAM/HAM or does the admin do that globally?
Proxmox shows this:

Sorry about the links but I can't seem to get this forum to recognize them as images :-(
Hm, I was never able to get IPV6 working in LXCs so I always set IPV6 to DHCP when creating a container. So I see this line in my /etc/network/interfaces - could that be the reason?
iface eth0 inet6 dhcp
The one LXC I am sure about was hanging is running Debian 8, I only noticed as that one is the most important one ,the others are only running some "playground" scenarios and are not mission critical.
The others are a mix of Debian 8/7 and Ubuntu 12/14 and all my OS-es are always up-to-date...
@BJ78945 thanks for the tips but its not working for me. I'll send you a PM just now. You have no idea how long I have been struggling to get IPV6 going. See my whole thread: https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/how-to-completely-disable-ipv6-on-the-hypervisor-proxmox-4.24761/
The main difference...
Some of my LXC won't properly autostart.
What happens is that they appear to be started and yet when I pct enter ID and do a pstree all I see is this:
root@alfred:~# pstree
init───init───rc───startpar───networking───ifup───dhclient
root@alfred:~# uptime
11:41:37 up 9 min, 0 users, load...
Please correct me if I'm wrong but I am sure this is not about the backup storage but about the storage where the VMs are running, that one needs to support snapshots not the backup storage.
Oh, one more thing, while checking out it says
but never specifies what additional information I am supposed to give.
Towards the end it says:
but I'm not interested in anything recurring, is that optional?
