I had a 11th generation Intel CPU and a half-way working solution but the solution absed on DKMS and sr-iov seems to have stopped working after kernel 6.5.
I am looking for a new mini PC so I am absically back a square one.
Is there a recommended solution for a CPU to use SR-IOV out of the...
Found a workaround here: https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/proxmox-rescue-disk-trouble.127585/#post-557888
Not sure why such a workaroudn is needed but hey, that's life I guess.

Just liek the other person here: https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/solved-proxmox-8-0-rescue-boot-help-needed.132978/ I am getting this error when trying to boot into rescue mode:

just like the initial poster, I messed up my networking config so I am unable to access the machien via SSH but I made a copy of /etc/network/interfaces.
I have a screen and keyboard attached but cannot use it as the only GPU is being passed through so I need to access the system with a rescue...
I found some reports that one should ignore this error "DMAR: Skip IOMMU disabling for graphics" so I am going to go ahead and try and create a VM for testing and passing through the GPU.

Do you have any tips or links or other advice? I just got a mini pc with an i7 13550U and tehre seems to be some iommu problem I can't solve atm.
dmesg | grep -e DMAR -e IOMMU

Hmm, good to hear although not the response I had hoped for.
The issue is that I needed a mini pc for a specific job WITH the ability to pass through an onboard GPU and I bought one with a AMD Ryzen 5 5600U and am still failing.
I now have a need for another mini pc in a different location...
Apparently this CPU:
AMD Ryzen 5 5600U with Radeon Graphics
has this onboard GPU (lspci output):
06:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Cezanne [Radeon Vega Series / Radeon Vega Mobile Series] (rev c2)
The reason I am asking is that I have read what felt...
I managed to fix the problem after I found this thread: https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/problem-after-updating-kernel.103293/ although the solution differed a little as the "sed" command mentioned there is no longer present in "/etc/kernel/postinst.d/kdump-tools" - I had to comment an entire...
I'm on PVE 8.0.4 and and this server is using the pve-no-subscription repo.
I had switched top the pve 6.2 kernel as I had some issues with my AMD Ryzen.
It ran fine since, until the last updates appeared (I think last night or within the last 48 hours I'd say)
Any hints? Can you spot the...
Thanks, I see some mixed content warnings, will post screenshots. I am accessing PVE GUI internally via IP and I don't care about the security warning. Any suggestions?
Thanks for the quick replies.
- I did a couple of complete browser refreshes without any changes.
- the result of "pvesh get /nodes/{node}/apt/repositories" is attached as repos.txt

Oh man, that is embarrassing :-( I had a fleeting thought of quoting the API key, then I thought it can't be that simple.
Awesome that it is now possible to do this straight from the GUI.
Can you give me an additional hint please, what permissions do I need for this API key to be able to...
I know there are countless threads here with the same issue but none of them seemed to be an exact fit for my problem so instead of hijacking another thread I opened my own.
I have a NAS where I have installed both: PVE and PBS on the same host. For convenience, I just used root@pam for every...
I have an old PVE 5 installation running on Debian 9 - what would be the safest way to upgrade?
Should I first upgrade Debian 9 to 10 and then to 11 and then PVE 5 to PVE 7 or is there danger there?
Any thoughts please?
