Hallo,
With qemi-img info i get reasonable values

I used ls for show the size cause i remembered i habe done this in the past. But maybe my...
Hi Guys,
i tried to shrink the qcow2 image of my VMs. I have Linux Mint 19.2 guest with just 1 parition with ext4. See attached files for detailed configuration.
Run the fstrim command reports a trimmed filesystem but the size of the qcow2 file does not change.
Then i run the fstrim...
Hi Guys,
i found this hack Siimultaneous Spice Client Connections *click* to enable multiple clients to use the same spice console at the same time.
In case of proxmox updates the changes in the Tools.pm file become to be overwritten with the default. I manually change this back to get this...
Hello Guys,
i have build a system for doing remote support to customers. It is like an VDI but not with an single desktop per user. Every customer has his own guest. As guest operating system i use Linux Mint and Windows 10. Linux Mint for the most and windows 10 as fallback for customers who...
I personally prefer Knoppix but you also can use Ubuntu or Fedora or anything else. Knoppix is not very fancy but is has many tools on board for example NTFS drivers and something like this.
Raw Image isn't compressed yet. If you boot from Linux Live CD you should be able to access all files. It is also possible to mount the partitions in the raw file on the host system but this is a lot more cimplicated and if you have no skills doing things like this then i prefer the Linux Live...
Do you want to customize you Ubuntu/CentOS installation and then revert back to an installable ISO file??????
Why a bakcup does not help with virtualizor? vzdump is not a propitary proxmox tool. You also can use it to restore vms to virtualizor. That should be possible. Maybe you have to change...
If you want to make a ISO then you dont need anything from proxmox. Go to a windows board and ask for support howto create a custom windows installation media :) I'm sure you get much deeper and more detailed feedback then we can ever give. Cause making windows installation media is absolutly...
Okay, the boot order ist correct. Next step is to verify the data on the disk. Can you boot from a windwows ISO or linux live cd? To verify that the data is still there and it is just a boot problem?
Can you just check the boot order under options? Can you give more information about the issue? (complete vm configuration) maybe do screenshots for example.
A Backup is a single file. Not more.
Maybe it is not possible to upload trough the WebGUI. I never tried it. But if it appears to be not possible then just use WinSCP and copy on the same location as you has found the original file.
You can upload ab backup by clicking the local storage in the tree on the left side in the WebGUI. Then you can select "content" wich maybe list you some ISOs when you already have uploaded some.
There is an upload button. Pritty simpel. I'm sure you will find it.
Start a backup task ist very easy. Just select your machine in the webgui and look for the backup menu. It's just a button. There is no special knowhow needed for doing a backup.
You just click a button and get a dump of the vm. That's it.
Additional explanations can be found here...
If you have not created a backup of any virtual machine yet you can't find one ;) You first have to create a backup if you want to find one.
I saying that it is possible to create backups directly on a windows share. There is no need to create them in the proxmox host and then copy them with...
CIFS stands for Common Internet File System and is a extended Version of the SMB protocol. JUst for keep the words simple: it is the windows network share protocol.
So you can create a windows share from any windows machine an add this as target storage for your backups.
Yes there is a special...
