ive also re reported this bug to Qemu that someone had posted and it expired.

have you tried to go to PVE GUI and go to your VM then select Hardware then select Hard Disk
then click on Edit on top of the page and see in the left bottom side if there is a checkmark next to read-only?
Yes it is a sperate drive. 1TB. all i have is a few backups from 2 of my VM's
is there an article on how to re-format it and create LVM-Thin on it.? I don't really need the backups I have, cause after reformatting drive and creating LVM-Thin I can do manual backup's right away.

yes disabled that is right.. I am all out of thoughts except if there is a way to find out what port your synology to proxmox. udp tcp port number and see if its open? or try to open that port so you can connect to proxmox.? sorry I am all out of thoughts. hopefully someone else can chime in

Does any other format work for snapshots or just qcow2 ( just wondering) cause there are 3 options raw qcow2 and vmdk
