Nfs and snapshot format

Hello everyone, I wanted to try to understand that if an nfs datastore supports raw, qcow2 but the snapshots are just qcow2?

Formatting '/mnt/pve/hpnas_nfs/images/105/vm-105-state-test.raw', fmt=raw size=9114222592 preallocation=off
saving VM state and RAM using storage 'hpnas_nfs'

Hello and thank you for responding. I don't think so, mine is just a perplexity as raw files on NFS storage can be created, but snapshots can't. At least what I read. But I have a VM that creates snapshots in raw on a datastore with qcow2 disks ... !
If snapshots in nfs are not allowed why could what I highlighted in the previous post happen?
Maybe I miss something.
