I'm preparing my hosts to upgrade to 5.1
In preparation, my nodes need to be on CEPH 10.2.9 or higher.
So I apt-get update all of my machines to get them on the latest 4.4 before moving to 5.1. My 4 processing nodes update without problems. My nodes with CEPH are hanging on update at

After my upgrade following the wiki, all of the ownership permissions were changed to "ceph" user.
Now I have tons of emails daily with the following errors
/etc/cron.daily/logrotate:
error: ceph.logrotate:1 duplicate log entry for /var/log/ceph/ceph.audit.log
error: skipping...
Yep!
So we had to go a little outside the box on this one. All of our users have shared personal folders on a DFS namespace split between two separate CEPH servers at two different locations, and 3 other standalone baremetal servers.
We had to go outside the box on this one since DFS-Replication...
I had (osd max backfill + osd recovery max active) set already.
It actually turned out to be an issue with DFS and bad Tuning on the Windows side in regards to the file system freezing.
The errors were still present for the storage controller resetting, but after we solved the DFS issue, the...
The perf is with deep-scrub enabled. I have not done anything to disable deep-scrub.
I do not use SSD journal. All journals are on osd disk.
Each node has 74GB usable ddr4 RAM or more.
Each node started with 36 drives, but some are removed because of bad smart. Whenever a drive is bad with...
I have run two more CEPH Rados Benchmark Tests:

Yes. I did not know about the limit.
This Mount Point has important DATA on it.
Is there any way to shrink it, or split it some way. I have 15TB of data on it.
I'll give your solution a try for now.
Also, is there a way to access my RAW data without the VM it is attached to? It should still be...

I have two:
Netgear M7100-24x
I have 4 Supermicro Superservers with Dual 10Gb NICs (eth3 and eth4)
My switches are completely separate, and they both tie into the same vLAN. So they are on the same network without a cable connecting the two.
My server are in active/backup bonding modes for...
No resolution?
The only way I have worked around is to set the disk to "no-backup"
Then clone the VM.
Remove the old VM, and the disks will be deleted as well.
This lets me know that proxmox has the capability to delete the disks, but direct delete does not work
I only see this issue when the PVE Enterprise sources is NOT commented out.
When it is not commented, but you are using community Proxmox, then the error is present. Preventing any installs or CEPH installations.
When you comment out, mv the old lists, and clean; all installations from apt work
I am about to deploy a new cluster using 10gb Intel NIC.
Is it possible to have a single 10gb NIC and a single 1gb NIC in active-backup bond?
I want to get full 10gb throughput on the active and fail-over to 1gb on failure of primary NIC.
I am NOT looking for a way to get 11gb/s.
I want a 10gb...

That's two different Proxmox developers saying that virtual cores assigned to KVM makes no...
I was under the impression, through several forum posts, that assigning Virtual Cores to KVM guests have zero (0) impact on KVM performance.
However, after a quick test, I show that there is a big difference when assigning the proper cores.
What is the general rule of thumb when assigning cores...
