That is why I re-edited my post and added the outcome of dpkg -L libc6 in order something is missing there.
So is there anything that can be done?
NMC card is an SMPT WEB Pro 1.1 for a Tescom Prime Plus UPS and the manual refers a few lines about how to use a linux client.
Sorry for the title but I wanted to be as descriptive as I could be, in order someone else searches it in the future.
So... upon my effort to install a cli program for proxmox in order to communicate with the SNMP card of the ups and gracefully shut down after all VMs do so, i tried to install...
Didn t know that ... I assumed it afterwards.
Noted.
Thank you for all your answers and quick response in general.
So finally, how do I revent the command pvecm expected 1 back in normal mode? Except having all nodes online is there anything else I should do for the nodes I issued the...
Hey that did the trick as you mentioned. I issued this on the first and third node and the stuck 98% went all along to finish line.
So was my previous assumption right? I need all nodes active in order to update them?
After the pvecm expected 1 how do I establish the normal behavior of quorum...
... thought that this was still on debate. Some noticed corruptions with upgrade but others with dist-upgrade .
-get is deprecated and apt alone will do the job with the same results I think (at least I not using it).
So in a cluster environment is there a specific way to run updates, than each...
Hi
I know that there were some similar issues since the earlier versions of proxmox about this matter and that is why I am going to include the outcome of those commands seen been asked for further assistance.
Issue happened before 2 hours when I tried to update the first node. I let it...
year 2023.....proxmox version 7.3.6 and the same issue still goes on.
Never used a CT up until now only VMs (I can confirm as well that backups to a remote nfs storage for Vms works not CTs though - so lzo works but not .zst backups), therefore I just noticed the problem with the denied...
I wouldn t say the only, since yesterday finished with all the tests I wanted. Shared storage (even for backups and not for Vms themselves) solves many problems when you don t want to have a cluster of 3 (or 2 +1 voting guy) servers.
I was able to backup VMs and their extra added storage to a...
Thank you for your quick reply
Ok but NFS is the share protocol, on top or underneath that is zfs from Truenas (by the way scale - so Debian based).
Possibly true but then again why do I have the option from GUI for each VM to back it up to the remote storage (nfs one) and still being able to...
Since the post isnt marked as solved I thought to jump in and ask a relevant question.
I need to transfer all the VMs from one node to a another one (they are not part of a cluster). Maybe that transfer will happen again sometime in the near future. I am trying to find out all the conversions...
Hi
I was testing yesterday the intermediate truenas server between 2 nodes, since they now both have it as a remote storage. On truenas side, I used as a backup pool a set of 6 disks (sas3 hdd 2.5" 1.2tb /10k each) and set them as raidz2. On proxmox all vm's are on a raid 10 (striped...
Hi
Even though there are relevant questions on that matter and after reading a lot of them I ve made my personal guide, I came across this need yesterday and trying to follow back my guide, noticed that there are some gaps that needec to be completed.
So my initial guide with an example...
Thank you once again. Happened to come across my previous guides (I couldn t find them yesterday, that is why I posted here at first place). My guide was a little more extensive so I ll paste it here in case someone else would like to double check
Unmount directory in Proxmox VE (PVE)
1 Login...
Ok it seems I ve already done the above except the option -R . Is it for recursive or something? Do I need re-run the command again in order to add the -R or disconnect the HDD ?
Hi
I had attached an external hdd via usb to the server and after initializing it and creating a zfs, created a directory on top in order to store backups. i need now to remove it and probably manually umount it, in order to attach it to a different server and restore one Vm from there (in...
Theoretical part
As a general rule, sfdisk is used to manage MBR partition tables and sgdisk is used to manage GPT partition tables. Admittedly though
UEFI should fall back to using the /efi/boot/bootx64.efi (more accurately /efi/boot/boot{machine type short-name}.efi)
when the partition IDs...
