Did as you told me. I firstly mounted the HDD and verified the mount from looking into the files in the directory /mnt/sdb. After this i navigated to 'Datacenter' and added a directory as storage as seen in the picture :)
- I still cant seem to make the mount perminent though. What exactly...
In my previous configuration i had an overview of all my drives in storage. My backup SSD's and my HDDs with data used from other VM's. Why wouldnt i be able to replicate this?
As the title reads, i'm having problems adding a HDD with existing data to proxmox without wiping it first. How do i go about this? :)
The HDD is visable through the web GUI tab "Disks", under /dev/sda
I'm trying to remove one of two M2.SSD's from my system. When removing the secondary one, which was used for media storage, proxmox boots with no ethernet and problems with it. Does anyone have any idea as to fix this?
Update, i managed to workout around the wrong CPU listed. But still enabling hyper-V breaks windows, and starting the vm it goes straight to recovery mode
The reason im asking this, is because i used to be able to run hyper-V in windows without any problem (nested virtualization), this is no longer the case. The vm is currently set to host cpu, but i still see this ' 'QEMU Virtual CPU version 2.5+ '
looking to build a new server and i am wondering what hardware i should use. Im planning on running multiple vm's and i cant seem to find anything about what i should value the most, high clock speeds or more cores?
fx a 6 core amd 3.4 ghz processor or a 12 core amd 2.2 ghz.
Thanks.
If you mean grep -R "" /sys/module/kvm_intel/parameters, then i believe so yes
/sys/module/kvm_intel/parameters/enlightened_vmcs:N
/sys/module/kvm_intel/parameters/eptad:Y
/sys/module/kvm_intel/parameters/flexpriority:Y
/sys/module/kvm_intel/parameters/vmentry_l1d_flush:cond...
Thank you for your replies :). I am allowed to enter the vm when chaning CPU type to anything other than host, however this results in docker not being able to run. Since i guess nested virtualization only works through host?
