Does anyone know why my windows 10 vm is show the cpu as being a 'QEMU Virtual CPU version 2.5+', instead of the expected host cpu?
I'm sure. I think this is the main issue as to why i cant enabel hyper-V without crashing windowsAre you sure it is set to "host"? Because on that same screen my Windows 10 VM shows "Xeon CPU ..." as expected when CPU type is "host". Did you change the CPU type and forget to restart the VM (NOT just a reboot)?
You set all the necessary nested virtualization flags on your host?Update, i managed to workout around the wrong CPU listed. But still enabling hyper-V breaks windows, and starting the vm it goes straight to recovery mode
