I didnt miss that at all and I dont think others did as well that want premade kvm templates offered through proxmox just like openvz. Keyword is premade. Aka, we dont have to create our own and even more importantly, we dont have to create new ones when different OS's come out with new...
Same with openvz templates, yet you provide them. No reason to use installers for kvm when images can be used. Much faster deployments and easier to manage. Again, every other major product provides it, so why cant you? Not really fair that you offer the openvz ones but completely ignore the kvm...
I agree. I have no idea why proxmox isnt providing them. Most other solutions as ehabh pointed out already provide them. Heck, i cant think of any major project that doesnt.
Well what do the logs say? heck, you even put it in bold. How many nodes in the cluster? How long have you had the cluster running? is this the first time you have tried to rejoin the cluster with this node? how did the node leave the cluster?
AKA, provide more info so we can help!
So where are people at with doing unattended installs of proxmox hosts? Seems to be a lot of different ideas here and I am just wondering what actually works.
I am not sure about the local usb, but novnc definitely supports copy and paste and resizing.
I didnt miss that part at all. I have zero interest in openvz as I only use kvm. You had mentioned that the kernel you were providing didnt have openvz support at that time, so my point was then, why...
My questions/statements have zero to do with it being beta or not. It has to do with decisions and directions the product is going and just general questions. The op mentions what is new features and versions and I am simply providing feedback on those.
1) Yes, in 3.2, we have a choice of java...
So were moving from Java (which is a pain) that runs on most OS'es, to Spice, which only runs on 2? Should have gone with novnc that runs on everything and doesnt require some third party client. :(
Also, whats the advantage to your new kernel if openvz support isnt available in it? Why not...
Why in the world would multi-monitor need to be supported? Java and Spice console sessions should really only be needed as system installation and troubleshooting and occasional system access. If you are using it as your full time interface for interacting with a system, you are definitely doing...
Another reason why we need a more open solution like novnc. If the console requires anything other than a web browser and is not OS dependent, its a bad design.
Any suggestions for creating vlan's for VM's that will work between KVM guests running on different proxmox hosts, but also without requiring a new vlan setup on our switches each time. Just trying to figure out a way that we can allow end users to create such vlans whenever they want. Obviously...
Id love to see novnc support as well. novnc is used by some pretty large projects (much larger than proxmox) and with large corporate backing. Using something that requires a client other than a browser pretty much makes it a no go on portable devices and chromebooks (like the one I am typing on...
