I have no interest in using spiceproxy. Is there a way to disable it cluster wide? No need to have features/resources enabled/running if you are never going to use them.
So others don't waste time, i had to do the following in my storage.cfg for the gui to connect to it:
rbd: ceph-ssd
monhost 10.10.0.100:6789 10.10.0.104:6789 10.10.0.108:6789
content images,rootdir
pool rbd
krbd
username admin
EDIT: I lied. I was on the wrong tab. Still...
I think there was an issue with my ceph storage. I removed it and it worked fine. now to figure out why that system wouldnt come back up properly. Gotta love the ceph fault errors without great details. Another post for that maybe.
You simply burn the iso. Dont drag and drop it to a cd or anything like that. I really feel that if you dont have a pc that boots from usb or cant figure out how to burn an iso, doing virtualization through proxmox is probably not a good idea for you.
I have a 8 node cluster with ceph, nfs, and local storage (just for the OS). All the cluster members are online. Why would 'pvesm status -storage local' be so slow (takes like 5 minutes to run) when all it should be doing is querying local storage on that node. No networking should be involved...
Just install Debian 8.2 instead and the install proxmox. Plus you want to install using ext2 for a flash drive and then disable swap. I have 8 servers setup this way working fine on 8gb drives.
The OS's are running on flash memory, so to limit the number of writes to it, the logs are stored on a ramdisk and then also sent to a central logging server. When a system is rebooted, the ramdisk is obviously emptied.
Until I get my central logging server setup, local logs are wiped every time the server is restarted. This obviously is an issue with losing past logs, but any proper logging system will create the proper folders/log files when it starts back up again. I am not seeing this to be the case with...
Getting a lot of communication errors with my gui. I have a cluster of 8 servers right now and my syslog is showing the following:
root@stor1:~# tail -f /var/log/syslog
Nov 21 08:28:33 stor1 pveproxy[11013]: proxy detected vanished client connection
Nov 21 08:30:28 stor1 pveproxy[16938]: proxy...
