Hi all,
I am Currently running a Ubuntu 8 container and I need to log the Boot/Init output that can be seen in Proxmox. I have tried syslog and boot log in Ubuntu but neither show this output, anyone know how to do this?
I was running 1.5 with NO changes at all, then I rebooted it and noticed the openvz container timezone was off and running SLOW. I checked the host and found while the timezone was correct the time was wrong... I have upgraded to the latestest kernal and proxmox 1.9 and no change.
I have run...
cool thanks, I'm running 1.5, should I be editing this file directly or is there a need for changes elsewhere? currently syslog states
connect to myisps-wrong.server-mail.com[its ip]:25: Connection timed out
connect to myisps-wrong.server-mail.com[its ip]:25: No route to host
my isp's mail...
There is nowhere in the gui to set details for an smtp outgoing server to send mail for backups etc.
It seems like its not really supported. How is this setup?
cool, thanks Alain, but what is the cause of loosing time this quickly? I can't see why it would loose this much time...just because of potentially not finding an ntp server...everything else on the network has no problem with ntp...
this appears to be the default in ntp.conf so can i just...
ok will do, do you think the' orphan inode deleted' has any bearing on the problem?
edit: I restarted ntp and it reset to the correct time but its not a permanent fix i imagine.
Running VE 1.5 on an Intel Quad core, After a reboot the server time is correct, then it slowly slows down, something like 45 minutes slower over a week. A reboot fix's it.
I noticed these kernal errors also(maybe to do with vzdump),
kjournald starting. Commit interval 5 seconds
EXT3 FS on...
It works fine in vmware as far as I am aware, I'm using vmware on a windows PC as my applications are made for proxmox and there's no need for a dedicated pc.
I just set it up in Vmware with a 60GB flexible drive (it only uses what it needs) and it now shows about half that space, thanks for...
I didnt do anything manual as the installer has no manual settings that I am aware of. I am running it in VMWARE and set a 20GB hard disc in 1 single file. The installer has automatically made it 9.35gb
I have tried it again and still the same result on VMWARE
Hi all, I've had a good look around but can't find a definitive method to extend the local partition, for some reason this was the size when it was made.
I have read through some of the guides but its over my head and dosnt seem that specific. Can anyone point me in the right direction...
I have seen a few other examples of how this is done but perhaps not specific enough for my setup.
My NFS storage folder in PVE shows: NFS:backup/vzdump-openvz-102-2010_05_24-07_05_35.tar
Going by the wiki I figure the format should be: vzrestore vzdump-openvz-102-2010_05_24-07_05_35.tar 102...
