Can you access your proxmox with IP-address from that other location? If not, setting up DNS does not help. You need a route from that other location to your proxmox.
Did you get someone else to proofread the texts? I do not mean to be impolite but my experience with translators is there are going to be errors and typos in the translation. A proofreading program is useful but not enough. Even better if the proofreading person uses proxmox so the context is...
Did the upgade run to completion on that host? Try running apt-get upgrade to see if something is missing. It should tell you what commands to run to fix it.
Just realized the partition sizes are Mbytes and not Gbytes, as was intended. Guess the partition is much too small, and thus is "unavailable" for use as log.

I have two hosts, older running proxmox 2 and new where I installed proxmox 3. I plan to get rid of the old host once all virtual hosts are successfully running on the new.I can take hosts offline, so live migration is not needed. I managed to sort of get one virtual host moved to the new host...

Have I messed up my proxmox 3.1 installation? Trying to install some packages makes APT wantto remove packages that seem quite essential. I did install several other packages, they installednicely without side effects.
