Hello, i have HP 380e G8 with SAS disk. 2x 600GB 10k and 2x 146GB 15k with P420i raid controller.
In the future I plan to buy more disks 600GB. How to arrange disk arrays to achieve max safe to VM data. Now i want to have only 2 VM's on this server. For example 2x146GB in RAID1 to Proxmox host...
Ok, i installed on 2 SSD ZFS in Raid 1. I used writeback cache option for Windows VMs because without this VM and all node crashed when benchmark ssd from VMs ( in write tests )
I did one more test. On both VM guests run download file from two different localizations via 1Gb/s LAN. On both VM Windows task manager CPU about 20% but in host in webinterface : 72% for host , and 75% for VM1 , 70% for VM2. Htop in host have large CPU usage too. See screenshoot from...
How to install htop in hypervisor. Command apt-get install htop don't find package. Proxmox installed from .iso
OK. I found solution : apt-get update , and
apt-get dist-upgrade and after reboot i can install htop by apt-get install htop
I have similar problem. But in VM Windows when i download data from NAS via local network i have < 20% CPU (in windows task manager) but via webinterface on this VM CPU is 103% , ( host in this time have 54% CPU ) , second VM is in idle . I have only two VM. The same in e1000 drivers or in...
Nope, its clear windows , RDP is disconected . On the screenshoot from webinterface i have host CPU 52,4% , and first VM in iddle , second VM - transfer 7GB file from NAS via 1Gb/s NIC - in webinterface CPU 108% but in this VM Windows Task Manager show : < 20% , NIC in task manager 99% ...
Hello, im new in virtualization and proxmox. I have small home server: i5 4460 , 16GB RAM , and three discs : 1 x 160GB HDD, 2x 240GB SSD Intel , NIC with Quad Gigabit port. I would like to achieve max safe to VM data ( 2 windows vm ). I created onboard fake RAID 1 with SSD discs but in proxmox...
I tried virtio nic too, but the same problem. It looks like CPU usage on host is fake, i can transfer in VM 1000Mbit/s from NAS , cpu via webinterface on VM = 100% but in VM windows task manager = 10% , windows is still responsible then. In the same time on second VM Windows i can transfer...
