Earlier today, I changed the DHCP settings in my router because I have a new local DNS server.
I have set the lease time in my router to 10 minutes.
I would have expected that this change was propagated through my netwerk, but the proxmox host did not pick it up, apparently.
/etc/resolv.cont...
Hi there,
I read about nesting a Proxmox installation on a Virtualbox VM.
But I am wondering if installing Proxmox on a VM would work on my Proxmox server itself?
I am developing shell scripts and playing with Ansible to install and manage my Proxmox box. Each time I want to do a real test, I...
How can I run a shell script in a container after creation?
I can copy a script file into the container by using 'pct push <vmid> etc..'
But then...
How can I run it without login in?
I want to create a container fully automated and run some scripts in it to do intial configuration. This is...
Oh wait.... it appears to be browser related....
Edge does not work, but Chrome does.
And a private session in Edge also works.
And it works fine again after cleaning cookies and other browser data.
I leave it here for others having similar issues.
During the installation I gave the server the name 'hefty'.
That was succesfully put in the hosts file:
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
192.168.144.19 hefty.village.papasmurf.nl hefty
Login using https://192.168.144.19:8006 works perfectly, but when I use...
Hi,
I configured something incorrectly, apparently.
I made a LetsEncrypt wildcard certificate. This seems to be okay:
But still the Proxmox website says it is invalid:
As you can see on the screensprint, I copied the fullchain and privkey files to the correct location as documented here...
I like this, as I am using webdav too.
It seems working, but after doing a backup the proxmox website times out displaying all question marks. I can ssh into the server so it is still alive. I guess it is too busy with uploading the backup file (4Gb).
iftop:
I created an LXC container and installed Plex on it.
To let the data survive a recreation of the container I added two bind mounts:
- mp0 for all the movies and video files
- mp1 for the Plex Server Library folder, where the settings and metadata is stored
The creation and the configuration of...
I am creating Ansible playbooks to try to automate everything as much as possible.
I have my made my own proxmox_lxc role that works perfectly, using the CT templates that are available out of the box.
The thing is: after starting the container I cannot ssh into it from the outside world, which...
Only a few keys are accepted in the console. When I want to type CMD then the c works, but the m activates a Create Mark command.
A newbee problem perhaps... I cannot find how to change this behavior.
Good point!
As a newbee proxmox user I noticed that the load on the server is not that bad when you have multiple containers and VMs running.
Only the memory usage of the Turnkey Gitlab container is staying quite high, even when I am not using git at all.
I was wondering what is better from the perspective of resources and memory usage: having a single container or VM to run multiple services on, or running separate containers.
For example: I want to run a gitlab server, a plex server and a web server. I can configure them separately in their own...
