Hi, i've tryed with proxmox 1.7 and both kernels 2.6.32.4 and 2.6.35.1. Both do a segfault like this. The VM stops abruptely. In kernel 2.6.32 there is not log in syslog. This happens only when the network is correctly configured in the VM. Can it be the VM .qcow2 file that is corrupted ?

After checking, hpet is enabled on all guests where the flag -no-hpep is not set :=) The 2008 vm with HPET disabled still has a very very small drift of 1s. But this is much better. I've set up a 3rd guest, a Windows 7, with 2 cpu and hpet enabled. No drift at all ! So it may be only Windows...

Yes, and 2008 is only x64. Got the same bug in 2.6.24, no rtc no memory over 4G. Check the Max physical memory not the total memory which includes paging file.

Yes they are working perfectly on 2008. There are also balloon drivers (to let the host manage the memory dynamically in the guest) but I do not know how to install them. If you find out let me know.

I also found my problem: the vm freezes when the host drive is full and the vm wants to use more Space and the vm drive file sizes are set to dynamic grow. I removed Some files on the vm and all's running fine again.
