How does the PVE host itself have a static IP address? Anyway, each to his own. I would try what I have suggested. Do as you wish. The logic behind my thinking is, that the time/limits taken for that DHCP to be allocated on LXC startup is affecting that TrueNAS bind mountpoint share.

yeah that makes no difference, same error i'll take a look at permissions issues, but i'd have thought pve would have given a more usable error if it was permissions. with samba shares, the LXC still mounts the share but you get a "permission denied" message when trying to access it. however...
