No passthrough should be be way faster than RDP as its native. Any usb device will work if you passthrough the port. Yes I have a mic. Not tried webcam but dont see why not.

Webcams appear to be problematic with USB passthrough. It can often be resolved with PCIe passthrough of a whole USB controller, but that also comes with lots of caveats and other limitations.

I'm attempting to passthru a Logitech c270 webcam via SPICE USB redirection, and only getting a black video screen. The VM sees the device, for example, zoom knows the model and type, but the video feed is just black. Has anyone gotten this to work?

Ergänzung: die physische Maschine (der Client), an der die Webcam per USB angeschlossen ist, zeigt die Webcam auch unter den USB-Controller gelistet, bei gleichem Treiber, aber eben ohne Ausrufezeichen.

zu früh gefreut. Nachdem ich nun das US-Win11 auf deutsche Sprache umgestellt hatte, funktionierte die Webcam. Nach Durchlauf aller verfügbaren Updates ist die Webcam wieder verschwunden und wird nicht mehr erkannt.

Du kannst sicherlich versuchen ein Windows 11 ISO english einzulegen und das Setup innerhalb von Windows starten. Ob er die Option "ich will alles behalten" dann anbietet musst du testen. Ob das dann alles so richtig "sauber" läuft, musst du dann auch testen.... Sauberer ist vermutlich der...

1) ok, schade 2) Sobald ich einen beliebigen der 3 USB-Einträge (iPhone, Webcam, Usb-Funkmaus) auswähle, schließt sich das SPICE-Fenster komplett und die SPICE-Konsole muss erneut geöffnet werden; es kommt keine Verbindung zu einem der USB-Devices zustande.
