hello I have Proxmox installed and it's gateway is the router and I can access the web gui locally and even can access is from outside using port fowarding through the router. but I can not get internet access . I tried "ping google.com" and nothing happens

I have setup Proxmox on a Poweredge server and its working fine. What I don't understand is how to make it so I can access the GUI from outside of the local ip. Can you someone tell me what I need to learn and maybe the sequence of how to do this.
