Hi, I've created a video which demonstrates how to migrate VM from ESXi/vSphere to Proxmox in few steps, without any special scripts. (I hope it's OK to publish the link to the video).

VROC is pretty much "invisible" to the OS. You'll need to enable it from the UEFI/BIOS and after enabling it and rebooting, you'll see a screen with a hot key to press in order to configure the RAID levels. After configuring it, Proxmox should see your new RAID just as other disks.
