Sorry for hi-jacking the thread.
I'm interested in this as well. I don't have an answer though. I'm worried about TPM and the security-wise features that there might be in place for the bare-metal OS (Windows built on the real laptop). For the encrypted disk, I'd say it's just a matter of...
Indeed the link you gave me is about the plugin for VxLAN.
The link I posted provided further details on how to usee VxLANs (static, with mcast, with EVPN-BGP).
VxLAN can just stretch VLANs at the ends or can carry tagged or double tagged frames, I have experience with other implementations...
Thanks @jsterr , but the link you gave seems to provide less details, unless I miss something. In case would be so kind to helping me in spotting the place where I can find the answer to my question, please?

Hi,
I'm looking for a way to carry tagged frames over VxLAN (even static ones [no EVPN-BGP] is ok)
Is such a configuration supported by ProxMox 8?
I found this document
https://git.proxmox.com/?p=pve-docs.git;a=blob_plain;f=vxlan-and-evpn.adoc;hb=HEAD from...
So, am I correct that there is no way to automatically use a part of a sliced GPU on the target host? Is this something that has been put on the roadmap?
With this topic, becoming hotter and hotter, I wonder whether there is a way to lively move an VM whose graphic card is tighten to a vGPU.
Any experience, hints, ideas?
TIA,
Alex
Hi,
has anyone been successful with splitting the GPU GTX 1080 into vGPUs with Proxmox VE (possibly 8.0)?
I found this post where the 1060 model was the object of investigation
https://wvthoog.nl/proxmox-7-vgpu-v2/
I may have the opportunity to buy a 1080 and I would like to know in advance...
I know it's a bit OT since th question pertains one of the aspects of ProxMox, but is there any dcoument that may explain a bit what ar the considerations/points to take into account when building up a hyper-converged cluster with ProxMox using CEPH? For instance, may I have nodes with different...
Hi,
just to be sure. when going to create a cluster where there is one node with VMs and the others are empty, is it always recommended to start the cluster on the node where the VMs run, and then have the other, empty, nodes join the cluster? In another words, add a node when it's empty...
@spirit , thank you.
Indeed upgrading might be an option. Maybe my approach comes from Windows world where it's better to start from scratch than upgrade. Keeping into account that starting from scratch would mean going through the video-resolution issue to accept EULA, I second your suggestion...
Hi,
I have three seperate nodes that I would like to glue in a cluster.
At the moment all the machines run on the node with 7.1.7 (deprecated).
Question: can I build a cluster with the three versions in the subject, migrate all the machines to the new nodes and then build it again from scratch...
