After a lot of try and error finally it works!

In a (GNS3 based) test setup I'm currently trying to implement a BGP-EVPN setup.
As we are using Dell OS10 switches I built a setup based on the example from...
Hallo,
We have a big hyperconverged PVE cluster running. Recently we started connecting it to the PBS and configuring backup jobs.
I'm wondering a bit... in almost every place you can add some kind of custom comment, but not in the backup job schedule? It's really hard to differentiate the jobs in the...
@suriv :
I think @cycloxr meant to add a column with the _VM_ (host)name?! IMHO this would be very helpful in the big forest of VMIDs - especially if you have multiple datastores for multiple PVE clusters/instances.
good to know, didn't try that as i didn't map the disk through pve.
i just mapped it directly into the vm with an installed proxmox-backup-client. some (fake) write capability would be nice here, too.
hello,
i just tested your new proxmox-backup-server. dispite of the imho quite uncommon concept of decentralized backup management I need to be able to recover single files from a PVE vm backup image.
i tried mapping the image with proxmox-backup-client which works in general. however, if I map...
if have set up a few proxmox clusters and beside of a few little issues i'm quite happy with them. so here a big thanks for your work!
my little feature request here is quite simple, but will be very helpful if you have more than one different proxmox clusters to manage: put the hostname and/or...
yesterday i updated to the new pve-kernel-2.6.32-14-pve. since the update, in all my CTs (about 40 CTs (on two hosts) with ubuntu precise 64bit on nfs storage) the nscd daemon goes up to 100% (partly even more) cpu load. the host went up to a permanent load avg of above 70. booting the old...
in my opinion, 'Shutdown' has to stop the VM in the HA service (or marks it as stopped or whatever) and to send a shut down to the guest OS. on the other hand 'Stop' has to instantly power-off a VM (and of course stop it in HA service).
also, in my opinion, HA is to catch a hardware failure of...
my VMs use a (drbd synced) LVM storage device. when i tried to add a second disk to one of these VMs (using the same storage), i get an error message like 'vm-100-disk-1 already exists'. why doesn't it count up the LV name to 'vm-100-disk-2' to get it working?
i have some HA KVM virtual machines in a 2-node-cluster.
on pressing shutdown in the proxmox web gui, the guest OS (debian squeeze) shuts down correctly and the VM stops. unfortunally a few seconds later it gets started again (by the HA service i think). the same happens when shutting down the...
