Intel B50pro passthrough.

Thanks for the info. I know this is going to be annoying, but if you can get back to windows can you go to device manager and right click on B50 card and go to properties. Send me this info:
I am trying to get an idea how your computer is setup internally.
The B50 is located in 03:00.0. From what i gather it is connected to the correct pcie slot. For a mini computer, not really much of a option.
Lets try this
echo "1" > /sys/bus/pci/rescanthen check for 03:00.0 if it shows up.
Yep thats worked (its now showing up)! - thanks so much...i was half expecting to change the pc for something else if it didnt work!

Im at work at the moment but i can remote into it....going to build a vm quickly and do some more testing....
So, do i have to run that command every time i reboot the box?
Edit - yes, tried a reboot - had to run the command again...
Is this an issue/fix that could be baked into proxmox?
Just to add also im getting a code43 error - so as this is an Intel card is it treated the same way as an IGP card..?

Thats great! For some reason, your computer is not reinitializing the pci bus. Let me look into that. I know Dells have boot delay option in bios. Try that.
I never got code 43 with intel cards / intel igp. Do you have all the modules config done and kernel cmdline options configured?
There isn't any specific ones for intel cards I use. I dont have access to my computer remotely. I can get all the information on how mine is set up, later today.
When you had the code 43 error in windows, what did the windows event viewer say? What did the dmesg in linux say when turning on the VM? Did you have the VM type to be OVMF, q35, card passed through as pci-express?

Then i went through the bios to see if there was any settings i could see that would slow it down....i changed a few things (one was the post bios time changed from 5 to 10 seconds) and one that switched off the power management to the pci bus.
I ran it up and started the vm - it crashed and i lost connection for about 5 mins and it came back up....the card is still enabled from what i can see but gonna reboot a few more times to check....
Once in the vm ive hit the event log but the only thing of note that i can see is this one...
Event ID 4 GSCx64 - The Intel(R) Graphics System Controller Firmware Interface is being disabled.
