Hello,

this is my first post, so please keep that in mind :).

I was thinking about choosing an intel n100 to be running as my proxmox backup server.

This PBS install should be connected via wireguard to my homenetwork where my Proxmox VE is standing and should running daily backups.
I am having around 1.5 TB of data which should be backed up to PBS. (The inital backup will be done on the same network).
After that initial Backup i will move the PBS to a friends location where it should do the daily backups. My data does not change a lot every day, thus not a lot of bandwith is needed. I really need that deduplication feature of PBS since currently i only do full backups.

My question is if an n100 with 16 GB of ram is enough and if this wireguard config will be usable?

Thanks for any recommendations :)

Oh yeah, that should be plenty. I use an old Lenovo M92p with an i5-3470T and 8GB of RAM. Other than it taking a little bit of time to do the dedupe, it works perfectly fine. Considering an N100 is around 2x faster, I don't see an issue.
