Torrent client inside container?

I've setup a transmission client / server inside a container without any issues, I can connect to transmission and inject torrents as desired.

I however and not able to download anything at all, port is open on the router, I can see transmission attempting to download the magnet link but it stalls

I can download the same torrent from another machine in the network so I don't see it being network/router related

The container can access the internet.

Is there anything one needs to do to the container config ?

no, nothing specific. transmission normally works without any hiccups.

does the client receive any peers?
