Has anyone tried this? Is it good enough to move 4 production boxes to it? I realize i need to test but was wondering if anyone else can give me any pointers about upgrading.

Hi,
since this weekend i have two proxmox node with the 2.6.35 in production - the first day is without trouble ;)
The time is too short to say much about it.

Do the VM's feel more responsive with 1.6 KSM?

due to the better io with windows smp guests.

I noticed that I/O 'felt' a little worse now on the 2.6.35 than quite some time ago with the 2.6.32 branch.
It's discussed briefly in this thread.
I don't have records or data from back then to support my 'hunch', so I ran a couple basic tests using the pveperf command to compare the 3 branches.

Results for 2.6.35 & 2.6.32 are posted here.
And for 2.6.18 here.

All that I was able to determine was that 2.6.18 did slightly better with regular expressions, and I/O stayed about the same.

Aside from that there was a NIC firmware issue that was quickly rectified by the devs basically as soon as it was reported- <1 day delay from that, thanks to the PVE team.

My machines aren't running hard yet, so it's still too soon to know for sure.

Looks like you had much better fsyncs/second with 2.6.32 than with 2.6.18 though, or are my eyes failing me...
