I am running SUSE on KVM and I cannot get the full screen to show up in the vnc console.
were can i find out how to configure the console so that I can view full screen or change the resolution. Right now I can only configure 1 resolution setting. are there an other display drivers available?

Also I cannot cut and paste content from my pc to the vnc viewer.

Thanks for any insights on how to remedy this.

I have read this post but it does not seem that it resolves the issue.

Are there any other display adapter that can be added to proxmox-ve that will support Linux distros like SLES 10 and Ubuntu better?

did you try "Standard VGA" - on WinXP (and win in general) you can get higher resolution with this card.
(see the hardware/options - power off and start again).

I tested this on Ubuntu some time ago, but it was not really a winner. We are testing the new qemu-kvm 0.12.3 (only for 2.6.24 and 2.6.32) and we will take a look on all graphics emulations again.

Hi Tom,

Yes I tried both "Standard VGA" and "Cirrus Logic GD5446" with no luck yesterday. Tried again today.. and now it works:confused: ah well it was a busy stressful day.:(

So "Standard VGA" on SLES10 works pretty good, Not full screen but I can now see all the windows etc. Cut and pasting from host machine into the vnc window is still not possible.

I am using the 2.6.24 kernel.

thanks!

It makes me crazy using VNC as it is. I am SO used to terminal work in Linux, with history and tab completion. I would like to change it, but is it browser specific or Promox specific??
Inquiring minds would like to know, as every time I hit the tab key, it freezes. Thanks, Ric
