Proxmox 4.1 installation (lvm configuration)

Hello!
Could you please answer my question.
I have to install proxmox VE 4.1 on software RAID1 with lvm.
The question is how much free space have I keep on lvm volume group?
As I saw, the native proxmox 4 installer keeps 16.00g free space on VG, why exactly 16?

2x2TB HDD
32GB RAM

we do not recommend software raid (and as you just one drive, raid is not possible at all.?)

if you have more drives, think about using ZFS.

I mean RAID1 with two hdd drives (install debian 8 > proxmox)
