How to update the free version system?

Hello,

i've got a question. The free version of Proxmox Mail Gateway cannot be updated via web interface. Is there a way to update it via console? And where can i download updates for the system?

Hi Frank,

thats the deal. customers who are paying for the software can get easy updates and support. users of the free version can get the new software also, but they have to install the system again if there is a new release (or buy a license). please keep in mind, that we charge only € 399 for a full license, including full support for one year.
 
backup config

Is there a way to backup the current settings (i.e black list, whitelist, configuration settings, quarantined mail, etc) to restore on a new install?

hi,

you can do a backup on the console and also a restore. but you can only restore the setting to the same version/build number.

if you install from 2.4 iso you do not need a servicepack.
hotfixes are only available for commercial licenses.
