How to create virtual machine with existing disk

I have a server with LVM. The Proxmox was installed in HD that has gone bad, I lost all of the VM settings, but still have the disks that are in storage that have LVM.
Already I installed Proxmox but do not know how to add the disks new vms.
How do I do that?

Hi,
simply add an new VM (other number) with all neccesary settings.

Than edit the config (/etc/pve/qemu-server/xxx.conf) and change the disk-settings so that they fit to your excisting disks.
Move the vm-config to to right number and voila - start the VM ;-)

Forgot - of course, you must define the lvm-storage first.

In storage have 3TB and my disk is 2TB. Have problem if create vm with 1TB?

Hi, I cannot seem to make my own post. Will this also work with .raw disk created with lxc? My lxc server failed and could only retrieve the container drives and want to mount or use them in proxmox.

Sorry for stealing this thread
