When I start a guest console using noVNC on my laptop its size is bigger in hight that my laptop screen. So it is useless. It starts with a smaller
window but then extends to a size that does not fit into my display. I can not resize it with the mouse.
Normally I work with remote desktop. But if I want to see the boot sequence and for a short look the noVNC window is preferred.
Any suggestions

Dieter

What OS? For instance, with say CentOS you'd add something like 'vga=0x315 nomodeset' to the kernel boot options to force the console to be smaller. Otherwise I think this is currently an issue with noVNC, the java VNC viewer also had that issue. I haven't tried spice, but I'd assume that that does not have that issue.

Guest OS is Windows
Meanwhile I found that if I set the Windows Display to 800x600 the noVNC window fits completely into my Laptop Screen. But this makes no sense.
If You work with Remote Desktop Full Screen You want to have a better resolution.

Hi,
and where is the problem? right mousclick on background -> change display settings -> finish.

Not an real big thing.

If You regard the following scenario:
I set screen resolution to 800x600 which works for me.
Another admin working with remote desktop sets it to 1024x768.
Then I have no chance to set it back, because I cannot reach the bottom part of the screen.
As far as I know Windows does not have a "per user" possibility.

Hi,
yes, that is what I mean! You don't need to reach the menu - simply do an right click on the desktop and you get an menu where you can select the menu (Screenresolution in german) to modify the screen resolution.
