Hi @awiesel and @superbeta ,
I set the CIFS cache as cache=none and that solved the problem.
The backup procedure is 20-30% slower but now finish without errors.
This is the line I have in /etc/fstab
//<someip>/nasbackup /mnt/backups cifs...

Hello everyone,
I have set up a Proxmox Virtual Environment on a NUC with the rootfs on a NVMe inside the NUC and 4 USB-attached HDDs. On the 4 HHDs I have created two zfs pools, each zfs pool resides on 2 mirrored HDDs.
On the PVE a couple of...
please share the complete logs of the delivery attempt - from syslog or the journal - and maybe also the redacted mail.

Follow-up / [SOLVED]
Thanks everyone who chimed in on this one. Wanted to close the loop for anyone hitting the same symptom later.
The root cause was NOT vmbr0, corosync-qdevice, or anything in the PVE network stack — it was a stray...
Hi @mira,
I’ll check with the developers on the current status. They are currently working through a number of existing deliverables, so this is in the queue but is not something I expect to be completed immediately.
Since we have not seen this...
Ok @huganega , I think we've figured this out. It takes a combination of things to trigger:
- A link that's "fast" (i.e., 25GbE) relative to your CPU (Skylake or Cascade Lake)
- A backup load running at full queue depth
- An array that doesn't...
I'd recommend trying to reproduce this directly on the PVE host, bypassing the VM. Allocate a raw volume with pvesm alloc and test against the block device directly (or mkfs and mount it).
My suspicion is that LVM doesn't clear extents on...
we already have previous reports about HPE MSA (and Dell) appliances misbehaving in exactly this fashion - they advertise support for zeroing unmap, but only do it when the request matches some conditions, and simply ignore the zeroing part...
IMO the ui looks nice and i get why this is a feature that some want. but there is currently a big caveat: for each pbs snapshot that is mounted there will be an extra helper vm that consumes memory and cpu resources. these will be auto cleanup...
Hi @aday , welcome to the forum.
The journal line Cannot find device='z…' nor node-name='z…' on the target comes from the incoming dirty-bitmap migration: it couldn't find the block node the bitmap was attached to, so QEMU dropped the bitmap and...
