I am setting up a new proxmox node that will run as all-in-one. It will have
database (SQL-server)
vms / lxcs
self-hosted AI (ollama + Blackwell 4000)
I have a mini-itx board with 1 pcie that will be populated by the GPU. It also has 2 m.2...

The host is now running:
Proxmox VE 9.2

The no-sub repo has newer packages. You would need to wait some day/weeks for them to age out before everything switches over to the enterprise repo. So I suggest not using the no-sub if you can avoid it.
Why avoid using the license? If already purchased it is active.
The no sub repo is a bit ahead of enterprise so you might think of that as beta or release candidate. Eventually enterprise will catch up.

Now that the system is "stable" after dealing with the black screen and the watchdog resets, we've started looking at performance. Our first look at storage performance was absolutely terrible. And after some head scratching, learning a bit more...
Yes PDM means Proxmox Datacenter Manager.
Yes, LXC 302 is the container running PDM and is on the same PVE whos backup are being verified.
Yes the backup solution is a scheduled PVE backup to a PBS and are then pruned, followed by a scheduled...
Hi Everyone,
Every few months someone asks some version of "why can't I use LVM-thin on my shared SAN LUN?" Thick LVM works fine as shared storage, but has no native snapshots. LVM-thin has snapshots but is local-only... it's natural to wonder...
Hi @alexskysilk , you know I love a good bash loop, but ACL toggling is vendor-specific. It often only gates new logins, so an established session keeps writing until the target decides to drop it, and whether it does that on revoke is up to the...
Just to follow up on this, for posterity, Namesilo has increased their record limits:
Free: 100, but “can be increased to 150–300 records upon request”
Premium ($9/yr): 500
Creation works, however, record removal fails and this is logged...
Memory consumption looks quite normal. Even my stripped down bare metal windows install uses 6+ GB of memory (with browser opened). And looking at your task manager screenshot you have installed quite a bunch of stuff ...
@wursti
Is your PVE up to date on all nodes?
"add --verbose for fullnode, keyring, and device inventories"
I do not see where you ran the "rotate-admin-key" step?
Ok. That is also another question I have, but dident post here in Proxmox forum. What web monitor would you use that is open-source, forever free and very "basic". I was reading about LibreNMS to be the one to use? Maby you have another idea?
I...

Was viele Lizenz-Tools als "CPU UUID" abfragen, ist die SMBIOS-System-UUID (das was wmic csproduct get uuid ausgibt). Die kannst du in PVE einfach mitgeben. Bei ausgeschalteter VM:
qm set <vmid> --smbios1...
