Recent security findings and fixes in Ceph make it necessary to upgrade ceph and migrate authentication keys from the aes to the aes256k cipher. This is to address weaknesses in the old Cephx authentication method, especially if your Ceph service...
I did create this myself. It's just basic GNU/Linux scripting using Bash using the Proxmox command-line tools. There is a hookscript section in the manual: https://pve.proxmox.com/pve-docs/pve-admin-guide.html#_hookscripts
Hi everyone,
I had a very similar problem with live migrations and thought I would share my findings.
I have a 3-node Proxmox VE 9.2 cluster with 10 Gbit links between the nodes. After just rebooted nodes, migration performance is good,
and...
Very interesting to note that most of the hosting we heard of complains (hertzner, OVH, virtualizor, Locaweb, etc) are not in the list of partners, and for the special case of the wildfire spread in Brasil was mostly for this kind of hosting that...

As an interested PBS user - I also noted that CPU usage does creep up quite a bit - even when just downloading an image via the PBS web UI.
My PBS setup is a little different than the ones here - I pass through an entire 1Tb SATA SSD to the PBS...
that's not the problem. As I said in my first post, I did try most of the suggestions presented in this thread. And trying different cpu types was the most prominent. I tried many different cpu types. Didn't change anything.
Here is a small neat bash hookscript created (& apparently working / tested) by the user leesteken, which demonstrates it simplicity.

Please note you have to make that...
Yes, any executable works. As in the Perl based example, the hookscript will get a few parameters that you will need to handle. So it can be another scripting language like python or bash, or you might compile your own little program.

Hi all,
is there a Bugzilla ID one can follow along? We had customers asking in regard to this post and would like to clarify whether this is a real bug/risk or some kind of unlucky combination of coincidental events or even hardware-related.
