And the lenovo m720q is new, so as all Parts?
The Bios Version and the Bios Batterie same?
Is the lenovo m720q a real Server Hardware or more a tiny desktop PC?
We are excited to announce the first release of Proxmox Virtual Environment with official support for a second CPU architecture: 64-bit ARM (arm64/aarch64). Until now, Proxmox VE was available for x86-64 (amd64) only.
Proxmox VE 9.2 for arm64...
Hi,
what is the purpose of the pve-dbus-vmstate@.service?
It starts a Perl script /usr/libexec/qemu-server/dbus-vmstate but not for every VM.
We have seen it running for a few VMs and sometimes it fails:
Aug 31 15:17:22 pve56 systemd[1]...
So, you now got your security advisory for a vulnerability, in a over three year old version of a software component, which was at the time it would have been relevant neither internally discovered nor from anyone reported and hopefully also not...
Then you are still vulnerable due to the known and unknown security issues in PVE8 (which is EOL) and Debian Bookworm. The fix is to upgrade to the latest supported version of PVE aka PVE9 with every updated installed. Everything else is just...

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean with that.
I'm asking about the official support of Proxmox PBS to do backups of QEMU VMs in a PVE cluster that is also backed up by other backup solution (Hornet, Veeam, Nakivo), whether of the same VMs...
Do you mean with PBS using the same PVE API as PBS? I don't think that PBS and other backup solutions can send stuff to each other was your question suggests to me.
What do you mean by that? My point was that IOWait is a bad metric.
I asked you to provide some numbers. Some rough estimates of what you expect and some benchmarks to show that it is possible on your setup.
You mean two backups in total, or...
I am on 7.0.14-12.
I checked VMs ( ~ 10 with highest cpu usage of cluster) and all have TIME+ of 00:00:00 for "kvm-nx-lpage-re".
So no "cpu burning" here as it would increase TIME+ like in your console output with 15:43.
Thank you for your reply.
Just to clarify, its not apt upgrade on pve's that is struggling, its the apt upgrades with unattended upgrades inside the ubuntu VMs.
Yes,this is the setup we have used for many years (If the NUMA option is used, it...
Welcome in this forum! Unfortunately you did not tell us anything specific about that "small server". How could we know anything about it???
What exact brand/type is it? Full spec? How is the SSD connected? Exact type of the SSD?
Generic ideas...
It affected Windows and Linux guests.
You can check by monitoring top for a VM with: top -H -b -p $(cat /var/run/qemu-server/<VMID>.pid)
If you see CPU usage for kvm-nx-lpage-re spike around every minute if it is affected. I wakes up every 60s...
