Installing Proxmox via another system is possible as Proxmox, just like Linux, is not specific to the hardware. You'll might need to fix the bootloader and network configuration. But I doubt that will work around your current issue. Your problem... -

If you have not tried yet, you can also try running the installer in debug mode which might show more accurately why the installer is failing.
