Seems this may be a reported bug with similar hardware:
https://bugzilla.proxmox.com/show_bug.cgi?id=7872
Patch introduced on the test kernel 7.0.14-12-pve
Be Aware: Simply issuing a reboot inside the VM, will NOT use the current pve-qemu-kvm, so you must shutdown & then start VM again, to actually use the current pve-qemu-kvm binary.
Might be worth trying to remove these first as a sanity check. If you removed quiet and still don't see an output plus your keyboard completely disconnects that would indicate the kernel dying immediately.
You mentioned this was recently, has...

That looks like all your configs have been reset given the size of the files.
Can you post the output of /var/lib/pve-cluster/
Failing that, since it's left the cluster you could restore your backup, I'm not familiar with that tool so you would...
For home lab, it's whatever you want, or need, I suppose. But with software RAID, for simpler troubleshooting and recovery from faults, I would lean towards a mirrored array for boot, rather than single parity, dual parity or even RAID10.
So...
Hi, maybe you will get angry but I will refer just to last part of your post and ignore NFS re-config section. Because NFS config side never changed since initial cluster and storage setup so yes it is identical. And confirmed working for year at...
You normally don't need to rebuild the GPT partition table completely from scratch.
GPT keeps a primary copy at the beginning of the disk and a backup copy at the end. When shrinking the RBD with qemu-img resize --shrink, the backup GPT at the...
Thanks Johnnie its complaining about pmxcfs after running the first 2 commands
root@Proxb2:~# systemctl start pve-cluster
Job for pve-cluster.service failed because the control process exited with error code.
See "systemctl status...
I suspect that while the VirtIO drivers are installed on CentOS, they are not loading at boot time, preventing the use of SCSI.
I recommend fixing this so that you can use SCSI instead of IDE.

The best thing to do now is finish removing it from the defunct cluster in that case [0].
Kill the manual pmxcfs:
killall pmxcfs
Stop corosync since it's out of the cluster:
systemctl stop corosync && systemctl disable corosync
Start up now...
