FWIW, forky isn't released, and it's still about half a year until the freeze period starts, and until then lots of packages can still get dropped. Debian cares a bit less about the reasoning we had here, there is no support (and thus liability)...
Hi,
I want to configure my backup server to fetch SSL Certificates from Harica by acme.
For their service I do have account data (server, eab.kid and eab-hmac-key) which can fetch exactly a certificate for the servers hostname - no further...
Problem solved. I realized that due to secure-boot drbd 9 was rejected and the system was using drbd 8. I had to re-install everything, properly sign drbd 9 and use mokutil to enroll. after that. After that I had to re-start from scratch with the...
I do not use SDN, so I can not help.
For "risky" experiments (originally with Ceph, in my case) I've setup a virtual PVE cluster. Inside that cluster one can run dangerous experiments without the fear to destroy something important - just create...
As you know, ZFS & Ceph really don't play nice with RAID controllers like Dell PERCs.
While it's true you change the PERC from RAID mode to IT-mode, I've had issues in the past with the megaraid_sas driver. That's why I switch out Dell PERCs for...
Running into a weird one with Proxmox 9.2.3.
I have a Win Server 2025 template (UEFI, virtio-scsi-single, 90G disk on
LVM-thin, sysprepped with /generalize). Template itself is fine - if I
strip the template flag and boot it as a regular VM, it...
Thnx for explaining. Problematic drive is still functionaliteit, even smart says ok but there is a worrying amount (2200+) of growing reallocated sectors. Zfs pool is also online and not degraded.
Seems (a little bit) better with latest kernel 7.0.6-2, latest garbage collect task : 6h46.
7.0.2-6 : average garbage collect : about 24h.
6.17.13 : (not easy to do the maths) : less than 3 hours.
Datastore with 95TiB backups.
An expired certificate still encrypts your data, but you lose the ability to trust who you are talking to [0], e.g Man-in-the-Middle (MITM) attacks possible.

Perfect! This just saved me from messing with SPICE.. One could test oVirt, but imo it defeats the purpose of the "console"-integration within Proxmox.. Instead I'd wish for a checkbox in noVNC, that simply synchronizes the host-clipboard, with...
Exactly.
If your certificate expires, it’s essentially no different from a self-signed certificate. You will need to explicitly trust it in order to continue using the GUI. The cluster should continue to work properly.
From your writing, you clearly do not understand what PVE is, what qm does and to read through and disentangle it all seems like a waste of time. But qm is just a client to the PVE API (it simplifies QEMU only to a few relevant commands and...

Hallo,
Switch off VM. Go to VM "options" "boot order" and edit. Put that virtual CD drive with Live ISO into first place, usually "ide2". Then start VM and it should boot from CD.
