Here is actual data from the home lab. constrained to 400Mbps network (more on that later) and tested on 1 system. All systems use the exact same boot image, running Ubuntu provisioned through Vagrant, 1 dedicated drive per node for the servers...
I think there may be a conceptual distinction here. The WireGuard SDN fabric does not appear to be the same thing as a general-purpose remote-access VPN for phones or standalone clients.
One important distinction is that the SDN fabric is mainly...
I have a CT with the following config (last lines added by me manually, to map IDs for Free-IPA and to squash root):
arch: amd64
cores: 1
features: nesting=1
hostname: idp00
memory: 2048
net0...
I believe that automatic installation will become possible once the following feature improvement request is incorporated:
https://bugzilla.proxmox.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2164
Since I also want to automate settings other than network...
Yes in that case the Qdevice would only serve a function if either node 1 or 2 was offline. Technically not needed unless one does e.g. a reboot. But safer. After you have 3 nodes I’d just wait until the end…where it’s better to have an odd...
Hi,
while playing around with Proxmox and Unifi I was thinking why it is not possible to have VLan IDs and there given names be synced between Proxmox and the FW/Network controller. As I use Unifi my first search was for there...

- how many PG do you have on your ceph cluster ? (new pool on empty storage are setting low number of PG by default with target ratio is not configured on the pool, and this can give very low write speed).
- do you have enable...
Yes, I'm bulldozing the existing hosts like Lightning McQueen through Radiator Springs. But I need the compute around because I don't have spare compute readily at hand.
So if I get to two nodes and add a qdevice, it really doesn't do much...
So you’re re-using the existing nodes?
One documented gotcha is you must remove the Qdevice before adding or removing nodes.
Is Ceph going on rotating drives? It can but SSDs are optimal.
The other option (which is what I use in my pihole containers using debian 12) is to create a hook file. I use dhcp as well with static leasing. My pihole containers are using dhcp with static leases. This is what I use.
Create the file...
Another data point (not performance, but gluster-isnt-dead) - Debian is shipping glusterfs 11.2 in forky: https://packages.debian.org/en/forky/glusterfs-server
Esteemed Proxmox peers,
I've now heard "opinions" from the artificial "intelligence" engines of note about my migration plan from "that other system" to pxmx. But I'd really like a sanity check from Real Brains to make sure I'm not heading into...

linux-cpupower is not turbotstat... You even said yourself, tools-common is a "metapackage". I would think then, linux-cpupower is a package that contains the "utility" turbostat... linux-cpupower is installed via the debian "package" manager. So...
It means that this package is included in ubuntu distributions. Proxmox uses debian as its parent distribution, not ubuntu. it also means that its not an actual package, its a collection of applications which you can install by yourself, like...
