Hi.
I believe it should be backup, not proxmox-backup-client.
BTW, is your datastore really below /root directory? This is quite unusual.
P.S. Mind that /root directory permissions usually don't let other users (like backup user) access...
You did not give many details about your system. By far too few.
So you get only a very sparse reply: check your NIC names and verify the network settings.
I set this up on a mini pc with a 2tb nvme stick, so one of the partitions is where I put the datastore. It's been running for almost 3 weeks now, with not a single hiccup. All of the sudden, I'm getting this:
Error: unable to open chunk...
Also, if you just update the firmware, you might be able to turn it on with the HPE Smart Storage Administrator. You can use the HPE Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) to update, then download individual exes to get the bios and storage controllers...
certainly, i also used a gold partner in north america and they were able to assist with hardware selection, so you might try reaching out to another one. other comments in the thread also have good advice. On Intel/AMD, the Xeon 6 CPUs can...
Thanks for the info.
I’ll definitely be looking into the R6715 option. I may have been a bit too strict about wanting to stay with Intel on the destination cluster simply because the source cluster is Intel. Thinking it through more, the...
So I was able to get in with emergency mode, did mount -o remount / and was able to edit the fstab back to what it was before, it took a while but it booted!
I'm gonna have to investigate why this behavior happened from a simple fstab mistake...
Thanks for the detailed reply. This definitely raises my confidence around using newer-generation servers for a PVE/Ceph deployment. I had been debating whether the previous generation might be the safer/more mature choice, but you make a good...
yep its pretty barebones, i quoted both dell and supermicro and dell came in about 50% more for the same hardware, a better IPMI was not worth that amount of money
@fiona Thanks for the reply.....I was wondering if this kind of thing should be called out in release notes just so others are aware of this change when they update? It seems to be a fundamental shift in how this is reported and seeing a sudden...
This is with debug:
Also i've tried with IOMMU=off and also tried with "Intel Virtualization" turned off in bios settings.
System is running Intel CPU and nvidia GPU
