hello
the post in the network section is unanswered, so i figured there is not much reader there. so i open a post here.
i stack on the issue with SDN, for quite some time. i tried to sove it with AI but other than entering command over...
Hello everyone,
I am still rather new to PVE but eager to learn.
I setup my server as best I could but during the initial installation step I define `pve01.lan` as my FQDN. I was now recommended to use the dedicated home.arpa domain instead...
It sounds like your problem is different than mine, because yours takes 25 seconds and mine takes 5 minutes.
Symptom:
Start LXC container running Debian 12
It takes 5 minutes before sudo pct enter 105 works. During this time, SSH connections are...
IP was unique.
I spent ages trying to find the issue, which was difficult given the random fails.
I have now wiped my entire system and started over. So far, no issues. I hope I made some kind of mistake somewhere that I am unaware of and did...
50% DNSBL
35%...
I had ipv6 on static, nesting=1, tried "GSSAPIAuthentication no" and "UseDNS no" in sshd_config, disabling ipv6 in sysctl and probably something else I already forgot. but still ssh in took 30sec.
What fixed ssh login slowness for me was...
sorry i have been trying to catch it when it happens. its so infrequent that i never thought i would but i did. do you have a guide or something to point me in the right direction? i had this happen on a 3rd node that hasnt had this issue before...
Another option could be to also have PDM a separately licensed community version. Say 215 Euros a year, which is a right between PMG community and a 2 CPU community PVE license. It could still be an included feature for basic or higher PVE...
I recently moved my VMs over to a new PVE 9.2.3 instance on an OVH server, was able to access the consoles initially, but now I can't access any of them, it just sits at connecting forever and never connects. For a while I also couldn't connect...

The nodes should at least actually be counted by what we pay for, by socket.
Our single socket development nodes with paid community subscriptions count as much against me as my dual socket (2x price) basic subscriptions count for me.
Would checling the ZFS written property work?
`zpbs-backup` queries `zfs get written <dataset>` during auto-discovery.
If 0B written, no data has changed since the last snapshot. zpbs-backup skips calling PBC.
It's stateless, relying purely on...
"Wehret der Anfänge" is the secondary aspect; my understanding is that the PDM isn't meant to remain a alternate tool to achieve more or less the same things the legacy UI delivered, but will ultimately replace it.
And if Proxmox is aiming at...
Do you honestly think that this is a valuable and thoroughly valid argument in this debate?
Or did you just shoot off against a supposed freeloader?
You should do well to remember that the Linux ecosystem isn't just people paying for support or...
I believe both points are valid to a certain extent.
It is entirely reasonable that Proxmox developers are compensated for their work, and subscription models are clearly appropriate for production environments. The concern many users express is...
I use Proxmox in my home-lab, mostly for fun now, since I've retired. I did want to use it to replace a bigger (Redhat) oVirt infra I was operating in a corporate lab, but that went into the cloud instead, and I left early.
So no, it's not very...
Any chance on some flexibility for licensing? I have a decent size install base across a few datacenters., but all of my development test nodes are licensed under community as I don't need support from Proxmox, so I either remove them to get...
