Have it running on a Dell R200 which was released back in 2007. Was running LXCs but now it's a PBS instance. Mirrored ZFS drives. Makes for good small LXC/PBS server but that's all it's good for. -

As I understand it, you need to purchase three 1-socket subscriptions as each host uses a different key. You cannot share a 2-socket subscription over two hosts. Contact the Proxmox shop with purchase questions to be sure. -

JDann mache es wie andere Leute, nutze ZFS Replication, da kannst du auch live migrieren. Wer keinen zweiten Host hat, der kann auch mal eben einen Reboot verkraften, die 5 Minuten Downtime hat man ja immer mal in der Mittagspause.

Hi Fabian, Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. After a thorough investigation, we found out that one (1) of the cores in our Intel Xeon Gold 6154 CPU was faulty, causing the unexpected reboots.

PBS does really, really do random writes. It needs IOPS - as many as it can get. For ZFS there is the rising problem of fragmentation of the free space --> it is not guaranteed that a single 2-4 MB chunk can be written sequentially at one...
