Gorgona Stheno V1.2.0
Breaking Update: Mandatory Alert TTL Enforcement (No backward compatibility).
We've added the `max_alert_ttl` policy to limit the duration of alerts and prevent storage bloat. Run the command above to update.
To summarize- you want to replace a single host vsphere with a single host pve. Easy peasy, but you need to understand that you will need sufficient staging space. another aspect is the backup. reading between the lines, veeam is deployed as a...
I have a 4 host cluster running PVE 9.1.1.
I wanted to test HA. So I disconnected the network port of one of the nodes with VMs on it. They all were restarted on other hosts. I waited 10 min, then plugged the host back in. But the VMs never fell...
Since I didn't get any responses here, I asked chatgpt and eventually got it worked out. I want to post my fix in case anyone else comes across the same problem.
So my sdd had a 1G partition that used to be /boot/efi (sdd2) but was somehow...
Jesus, these prices are insane.
Anyway, the PSU was used (Privatanbieter means private seller) and you don't need a CPU cooler (AMD has one included), nor a case fan.
In regard to the discussion: I remember that @Falk R. mentioned several times in the German forum that using ZFS on HW RAID is ok if (and only if):
You know what you are doing (which imho doesn't hold true for people calling others "dogmatic"...
The point is: you can not know that.
Of course you are free to use any available technology you want - and a lot of installations are using hardware Raid (edit: ... without a checksumming filesystem). No fight here; if it works for you/them...
I don't think is does 4k r/w and even on my consumer hardware I linked to you in another post I can easely reach 100MB/s.
Anyway, in the real world, PBS will be way less relevant, since you only need to send changes. So in your case the local...

I have a Proxmox node get this template - and it auto discover the rest of the cluster. Issue is that I have 2 clusters so have to do it twice. I was thinking of simplyfing this via PDCM since it does have access to the clusters. But it looks...
Well I can imagine following usecases: You have a local PBS on trusted hardware for fast restores, you would like not to use encryption so even if somehow you lost the key you still have backups and also to reduce CPU load for compression on the...
Its entirely up to you. it is POSSIBLE to set up a hypervisor, a pbs vm, import the data, and restore- but by that logic you could just rebuild all your vms from scratch too. your RTO/RPO policies are your own.

I don't see why my travel preferences have anything to do with this discussion. But I will remember not to interact you anymore, if you have nothing to say than insults and comparing apples with oranges. You are welcome
I've often said that I am a ZFS fan. But hey, this is not the Butlerian Jihad with "filesystems" as the topic.
The system I am using in this very moment has a normal ext4 filesystem :-)
Ich denke er meint mit homepage folgendes: https://gethomepage.dev/ Klassische Homelab-Anwendung für Leute, die sich kein richtiges Monitoring installieren möchten ;) Das hat aber auch eine Doku, auch für ProxmoxVE...

@dxxd,
