FYI:
So I updated one of my test proxmox servers which has the no-subscription repo that has an LXC with MongoDB 8.2 running. It fails to start when upgrading to Kernel 7

Hi everyone !
I have an issue on my PMG repositories like this screen below
The "booworm" repository doesn't point to the correct link. Do you have the correct link?
Note: nothing suspicious is listed in /ect/apt/source.liste.d/debian.sources...
So after you set the Machine to 10.1 you don't need to reboot the client at all? I'll test this on a Windows Server machine to see if this behavior replicates.
I just did an install of 9.1 on a T610. To do the install, I had to press e when "Install Proxmox (Graphical)" was selected, then add intel_iommu=off to the end of the "linux /boot/linux26" line, and press F10 to get it booting using that...
Around 4 hours ago, I had a Windows 11 Pro VM, running on Proxmox 9.1, reboot and automatically performing steps 3-4.
The only relevant configuration changes I made to the VM were:
Update to Proxmox 9.1
Changed the VM Machine type to...
Ok, OVS can be used as a complete drop in replacement for Linux Bridges (LB) but it seems that /etc/network/interfaces must be modified to completely remove the Linux Bridge configuration and then configured to bind OVS Bridges to physical...
We recently uploaded the 7.0 (rc6) kernel to our repositories. The current default kernel for the Proxmox VE 9 series is still 6.17, but 7.0 is now an option.
We plan to use the 7.0 kernel as the new default for the upcoming Proxmox VE 9.2 and...
@alexskysilk Thank you.
The 7.0 kernels seem to be the supported ones for Proxmox now, and that's what my machines are running. Just thought it strange that a kernel previous to the one I operating was updated.
Hi all,
Curious if anyone has run into an issue where PBS 3.x runs fine on a Dell NX3230 but a fresh install of 4.x or upgrade won't fully boot past the 'Loading Linux 7.0.0-3-pve | Loading intial ramdisk..' screen. After the automatic reboot...
We're pleased to announce the release of Proxmox Backup Server 4.2.
This version is based on Debian 13.4 ("Trixie"), uses Linux kernel 7.0 as the new stable default for improved hardware support, and comes with ZFS 2.4 for reliable...

"kernel" being "out" doesnt mean anything directly to a distribution with a support policy. Instead, the maintainers of your linux distribution (in this case, ubuntu) will backport important changes that are deployed to downstream kernels...
