I found that the pvestatd service was not running after a 6.4-13 to 7.0-11 upgrade. Just did a 'pvestatd restart' and the grey questions marks turned to the green icons.
Not sure why this happened but it seems fine now.
This is true, but neglects we're living in 2026.

In context, the guest disks contains no relevent data, and are pointless to back up. When you have multiple guests accessing the same...
I still think that a full, classic DMZ with two separate firewalls is a bit of overkill for a homelab. But yeah, if you really think that’s necessary in your situation, I won’t argue against it any further.

We recently uploaded the 7.0 (rc6) kernel to our repositories. The current default kernel for the Proxmox VE 9 series is still 6.17, but 7.0 is now an option.
We plan to use the 7.0 kernel as the new default for the upcoming Proxmox VE 9.2 and...
Hi! First, sorry for the long text. I wanted to provide as much detail as I could.
I'm facing an issue setting up my Migration network and would like to check whether someone has encountered a similar issue or can offer guidance.

Hi,
/usr/share/perl5/PVE/LXC/Setup/SUSE.pm unconditionally writes wicked-style ifcfg-* files for all SUSE guests. It doesn't check whether the guest uses systemd-networkd. But this is precisely what changed in opensuse-10.
I'm not sure if I'm...
Just wanted to share my experience with installing Promox Backup Server as a VM in Unraid as I encountered some problems that I wasn't able to find any answers on the internet.
My setup is a baremetal Unraid 6.11.5, another baremetal Proxmox VE...
I had this exact problem (the original one, not "whoops I forgot the firewall") and it was an annoyingly large hammer to swing, but yes restarting the proxmox host node did suddenly make DHCP in my new vnet start working. I had the same-ish...

@lucius: The timers for Windows 11 are per core, so more cores is more (apparent) CPU usage. On 2 vCPUs you won't see the issue, I only see the issue appearing beyond 4 cores (hardware or virtual). Also dependent on how old your hardware is and...
You have 2 Ceph version repos. Hopefully you skipped it because you don’t use it?
If you don’t have an enterprise subscription you would follow the no sub part of the directions.
Good news. Everything worked! Thank you for the quick help.
Interestingly, the disk's name by-id (scsi-2001b4d20c32c8d78) seems totally unrelated to the serial number (WMC300064768) or WWN (50014EE0035E8E32). Maybe my HBA is changing the ID...
Hi,
the host will not be able to fetch from the enterprise repository, without subscription activated. Try to deactivate it in
pve-enterprise.sources
and check, if apt update runs successfully.
