Using more threads to read blocks shows great improvement (which is something I suggested in this thread a long time ago). In practice, verify speed has improved several times for me. On some servers dramatic improvement can be seen: ZFS pool...

No, this restriction has been lifted for bridges and physical network interfaces not too long ago, but still persists for other types of network interfaces.

Is that the case for both privileged LXCs as well as unprivileged LXCs?

So you are trying to power on VMs using wake-on-lan? That's not supported, unfortunately, in any case. There have been a few scripted solutions in the past here on the forum, you should be able to find them if you search for that.

All, I have a VLAN that my Proxmox servers sits on and I also have a laptop that is connected to the same VLAN (all are running Linux, the laptop, guests, etc...). We can call the VLAN 100 I installed ngrep on the Proxmox server and ran it...

are replied to the thread problem with hotplug and 64GB ram.
It requires specific alignment values like described in comment 19 (https://bugzilla.proxmox.com/show_bug.cgi?id=3446#c19) and in rest of this bug report. Other values will fail to start.

Thanks for checking and confirming back. Ok, that's a pity, we would have liked to use meaningful names, including a VLAN identifier. We will have to use the comment field instead. Does the same limitation apply to vmbr? I notice those DO get...

Hi, Thanks for those very usefull informations. zstd --decompress --stdout vzdump-qemu-106-2021_01_21-11_42_15.vma.zst | vma extract - extract What should I add to extract only one single raw file (my vma.zst is containing 3 raw files) ...

Thank you very much! I'll be curious to compare my process of stumbling compared to how you did it. You're correct about 7.0 being in the repos now as I was able to successfully compile it with the official sources from Proxmox (though like I...

I completely understand. I prefer compiling things myself and reviewing commits to ensure there is no malware or backdoors. My GitHub account was compromised a few days ago, and I am currently waiting for it to be reinstated. In the meantime, I...

are replied to the thread problem with hotplug and 64GB ram.
Don't rely on that "must be aligned to 2048 for hotplugging" - that message just lies and doesn't reflect what is being checked in the code. There is a patch that calculates closes possible values and presents these in a error message (for some...

No, you will isolation in VM and LXC from the Hardwarelevel. And ZFS Commands need root access!

Hi everyone, I’m currently trying to install OPENSTEP 4.2 for Intel architecture as a "Pet"-VM on Proxmox VE 8.2.2, and I’ve run into a couple of limitations that I can’t seem to solve from the GUI. Background OPENSTEP requires a very specific...

The problem is the name of the interface (MNGT_bond0). Our stack relies on the fact that bonds are named bondX (where X is a number) in order to detect bonds (see [1]). You will see in the UI with your initial configuration, that the bond is not...

bbgeek17 replied to the thread Snapshot Rollback not possible.
If I understand it correctly, in a native PVE/PBS case the bitmap is stored in-memory (QEMU). This leads to it being lost any time a VM is fully shutdown, i.e. bitmap is non-persistent. Veeam is using a different integration method of storing...

Ah, sorry. Missed that. Is the storage disabled in the configuration? Otherwise Proxmox VE, will attempt to mount it again. What does findmnt say? I suppose there is not much that can be done about the VM that was accessing the NFS, since its...

Hi! this should work. Could you show me the output of: cat /etc/network/interfaces cat /etc/network/interfaces.d/sdn bridge vlan show qm config <your_vmid> | grep net?

Just got a N5 air , installed 3 x 12TB drives with a second pool of SSDs , 16GB I don 't think is enough to running proxmox and truenas . Just order a 48gb kit for it @ £399 , which is better than the £727 for a 64gb kit , posted from the UK from...
