I can think of not less than half a dozen ways to successfully keep a Dynamic DNS updated, however I'd very much so like to start my Proxmox journey without going against the grain. Should I be doing this with a cronjob within the host debian...
AFAIK NetApp has one of the fastest and most stable NFS server implementation in the industry.
If you already have that I would definitely run some benchmarks on it.
Ceph is the only "all features" supported shared solution easily available for PVE. Its also the most heavily worked on for other Virt platforms such as XCP-NG and various flavors of kvm. Your decision tree going forward heavily depends on WHY...
Hi @SteveITS,
ok, understood and you are right. On each start of backup is a line
scsi0: dirty-bitmap status: created new
And explains the long backup-runtime, however I don't understand, why the bitmap is not persistent.
Nevertheless with your...
And RedHat already has a virtualization offering for their enterprise customers. I doubt that anybody really entrenched into the "Enterprise" RHEL ecosystem is looking elsewhere.
Most large organizations treat Proxmox VE in terms of accrediation/ATO as an appliance. Since PVE is a hypervisor platform. It's NOT meant to directly run workloads. Workloads are done via VMs/LXCs.
Same with PBS & PDM. It's treated as an...
Feature requests should be filed on bugzilla.proxmox.com since there is no guarantee the developers will read everything on the forum. On Bugzilla however any new issue is read by a staff member.
Now I'm not part of the team but a fellow...
Sorry for necroposting but I want to add some considerations for anyone stumbling onto this thread in the future:
Physical redundancy/separation (separate NICs, cables, switches etc.) is probably the most important part of a redundant cluster...
Built autovit inside deb13 vm, copied as below. "qemu-stealth-x86_64" original filename was qemu-system-x86_64 in src/v10... , renamed so i remember what it is.
SC launches, performance is absolute trash though, 6 detections left.
Use script...
Doch - Never change a running system?
oben ist schon alles was steht. MEHR GIBTS NED WAS DA STEHT
und der fehler ist anscheinend schon öfters aufgetreten
ohhhh, ok didn't understand that. I actually see the "required for self signed certificates" after clearing the fingerprint. Well that's easy enough then thank you.
Hi whatishappening,
I ran into that as well after configuring LE. The fingerprint is mandatory when lacking 'real' certificates.
Once your nodes have LE certs, you can leave the fingerprint empty.
Netapp has some docs around using there arrays with proxmox: https://docs.netapp.com/us-en/netapp-solutions-virtualization/proxmox/index.html
you're options are essentially NFS, SMB/CIFS, LVM+iSCSI LVM+NVMe over TCP, LVM+FC, or to come up with...

Dann hattest Du zu der Zeit womöglich keinen Portainer laufen. Der ging dann nämlich nicht mehr, weil sie noch deprecated api verwendeten ...
