Yeah, I should probably start by setting up the storage first and then take care of the high availability for the storage.
Just to clarify: only Ubuntu with targetcli is installed on the “SAN,” and no ZFS or other file systems are configured on...

We are getting there. So the local PBS is a mirror and the remote PBS uses a RAIDZ2 dataset, but that should be fine, since that stores mostly 4mb chunks.
What would worry me are that ZFS and external are danger zone, and that the RAIDZ...
Since there currently is no offical Support for Rotating Drives, I asked in this thread for some guidance and wanted to share my current Setup and Scripts so that other people can find this thread.
My Setup:

My main problem is that I’m not sure how to integrate the two iSCSI hosts.
Option 1: Each node has one target
Option 2: Each node has both targets
Option 3: Consolidate the targets outside the cluster and connect the cluster to both nodes to...
For those following this thread, I've finally been able to unpin the proxmox kernel to use the latest 6.17.13-2-pve and have my two zfs mirror hard drives stay in standby. So for me at least with only a couple of hours testing, this finally...
I'd boot a live distro and see whether the pool can be brought up using regular methods, before staying stuck trying it from initramfs.
I presume you don't have an alternative (older) kernel to boot from where the boot configuration is not...
Mostly things are fine, though a bit on the slower side, with HDDs. Migration to faster aggregated storage is the reason for the exercise in the first place.
Unfortunately, I woke up to a failed backup, and running fsck gives quite a few...
je ne sais pas, un bon conseil ? ^.. ^
24/12 Go exemple
2x 24 threads = 48 vcpu ?
Ou
Alors
12c x 4 = 48c
Correct ou pas correct ?
Merci s’il vous plaît
I never tested this with a volume this large or with HDDs. The daemon that updates the GUI's status and graphs doesn't handle slow/missing storage that well and can get stuck. I don't know for sure why it would take so long. All I can think of...
Hallo,

Preliminary: Set your VMID...
That's weird, for me it is sharp and easily readable. Guess I'll write it down, or at least the important parts... Or wait, before that, let me try Imgur:

Ok found the issue, as the eth interface disapear, my network cfg was wrong, so i change the eth interface in etc network interfaces with the right one and everything boot upd like a charm :)
Hi digamman,
Welcome to the forums!
That must have been quite a scare, good that your storage survived!
Some questions:
Why did you need to reinstall Proxmox after losing the network?
I guess your original install was on LVM on nvme0n1p3...
As I ran into the same problem today, I wanted to share the resulting bash script for changing the boot order. On PVE 9 all required tools are already available, on PVE 8 eventually the package virt-firmware must be installed first as it contains...
